Ten Reasons Why I Love My Wife

I wrote this just before the pandemic and we had a big celebration in early March 2000. We were so fortunate to see so many family and friends and let Marge know how special she is before the year of masking and social distancing. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and continue safe practices so that we can enjoy celebrating moments like this again very soon.

Short video of that beautiful celebration: here

Here's that post from a year ago:

Margaree turns 60 on Feb 29, 2020. She's a leap year baby so technically she's had only 15 birthdays. Maybe that's why she looks so young.

We've been married almost 40 years and I decided to think about why.  I have a list of 10 reasons why I love my wife.

These may not be the TOP TEN reasons that I love her but they are the most relevant reasons that popped into my head.

1. When she notices that my jeans are getting a bit frayed she buys me a new pair.

2. She packs me a breakfast and lunch every day (even if we argued the night before).

3. She packs me vitamins every day (and yells at me if I forget to take them).

4. She lets me watch "important" sporting events (and watches them with me - especially the Mets).

5. She calls my son when I need a haircut.

6. When I casually suggest that I like something (i.e., clam chowder, mussels in garlic sauce) she stocks up on it.

7. She laughs at some of my jokes. 😍

8. She's always on the look out for #Gabila Knishes!

9. She lets me play #CSR Racing whenever I want (as long as I mute the sounds).

10. She challenges me to get better every single day because she deserves better and doesn't want me to turn into a fat, unhealthy, game playing couch potato.

Thanks Marge! I love you!

About the Author

RC Bonay is an engineer with a passion for writing and drawing. He started reading comic books at an early age and soon discovered he had a flair for telling stories of his own. As he grew, he dreamed of following in the footsteps of comic book legend, Stan Lee. His passion ebbed and his dream faded as it became necessary to pursue a more traditional lifestyle in order to raise his growing family. The dream was rekindled as the youngest of his four children blossomed into young adulthood.

RC’s vision is best summed up by his mottos;

“The world would be a better place if we all just learned to draw.”

“Learn from the best, forget it all, and just write.”
